Apprenticeships at WB Griffiths

Over the years WBG has produced many great tradespersons from a wide range of trades.

Career development within the company couldn’t be easier with on onsite learning programmes to college courses we aim to provide the best culture for learning and personal development.

Below are some of our current apprenticeships working with WBG and our training partners for their future – click on the buttons below for more details.

Started with the company in September 2022 and is currently on our Trainee Site Management Programme.
Started with the company in April 2022 following on from their carpentry apprenticeship they have now moved on to the WBG Trainee Site Management Programme.
Has been with the company since April 2022 and is currently on track to complete their level 3 in plumbing.
Has been with the company since September 2021 and is currently enrolled to complete their level 3 plumbing.
Worked for WBG previously before leaving for university, since returning in 2022 they have undertaken a carpentry apprenticeship and is progressing though level 2.
Currently undertaking a bricklaying apprenticeship within the company though our onsite training programme, putting their practical knowledge straight to use.
Re-joined the company in May 2022 they are now currently working towards their NVQ level 4 in Site Supervision through the onsite training programme.
A very self-motivated individual prior to joining WBG they have completed numerous courses and is currently on track to complete their level 3 electricians apprenticeship.

Louise started with W B Griffiths & Son Limited in 1991 as accounts clerk straight from College, and has through hard work and in-house learning and up-skilling, Louise is now the Company’s Finance Manager.

Louise’s job requires a detailed and ‘keen eye’ and assumes responsibility for the oversight across the scope and remit of the Company’s finances.

Louise has the support and respect from everyone inside and outside of the Company for the role she undertakes on behalf of the Company.

Gareth started with W B Griffiths & Son Limited as a General Building Operative in 2000.

Since starting Gareth has been fully supported in his career expectations and as a result has undergone fantastic career growth, starting with becoming a qualified plumber and working his way up to his current role of Mechanical and Electrical Supervisor.

Gareth is now a key member of the Company’s property maintenance department, with excellent knowledge and worth ethic.

Peter is W B Griffiths & Son Limited’s oldest serving employee, he started under the former Managing Director Leslie Griffiths, back in 1977 and is viewed as an exceptionally safe pair of hands on any site he is allocated to work on.

Anyone who has worked with Peter will know his fantastic sense of humour and work ethic. Over his years with the Company, Peter has rounded his skills and is now a highly experienced and accomplished multi skilled member of Company’s team.

W B Griffiths & Son Limited is proud to have such a long-standing employee and every credit is given to Peter work his Company work ethic and hopefully has a few more years left in him yet!

Andrew started with W B Griffiths & Son Limited in 1996 to carry out his bricklaying apprenticeship which he finished with such distinction he received the Apprentice of the Year from College.

Andrew is now a key part of WB Griffiths & Son Limited, as the Company’s Bricklaying Supervisor, manages 10 bricklayers and apprentices. Andrew is known for his enthusiasm and extremely high professional standards.

Andrew has been able to harness his skills over his time with Company and is able to turn his hand to almost anything put in front of him but particularly also enjoys the opportunity to work on heritage brickwork projects.

Anthony started with W B Griffiths & Son Limited straight from School in 1999. Carrying out a carpentry apprenticeship showing his skill and collecting Apprentice Of the Year from College. However with support and upskilling within the Company, Anthony now undertakes the role of Project Manager.

Anthony has managed some of our most prestigious projects, most notably being the remodelling of Haverfordwest Library and his knowledge of NEC contracts is second to none within the Company.

Reg started with W B Griffiths & Son Ltd in 1998 as an excavator driver and with his hard work and determinative attitude, Reg is now a Site Manager.

Reg also leads a team as the Company’s Groundworks Manager and is renowned within his specialism, as our Company’s groundworks specialist.
